Q: Why should IFAs be interested in talking about SSASs?
A: The changes in government legislation have put pensions ‘back on the map’, and business owners need to discuss and address workplace pensions because of auto enrolment. This gives IFAs an extraordinary opportunity to gain valuable new clients, as well as being able to show their existing clients that they’re able to provide support and guidance.
Q: If we work together, how does the process start?
A: If you want to learn more about SSASs and how they can benefit your clients, please get in touch and talk to our team of pension experts. From there we can discuss your clients, which ones the SSAS is suitable for, and we can take forward setting up the pensions with them after a referral from you.
Q: What kind of support can you provide for IFAs?
A: Our research suggests that many IFAs and financial intermediaries have only a basic understanding of the mechanics and applications of a SSAS – but we want to change that.
At SSASCo we can help IFAs in a range of ways:
- We can provide short in house seminars to help increase your teams understanding
- We are happy to chat through individual cases and advise whether a SSAS is suitable and if it is how to use it to full effect.
- We can meet with your clients to talk them through how a SSAS might help them
Q: What kind of scheme will you be providing for my clients?
A: We pride ourselves in working on an individual level with all of the businesses we set up SSASs for – we get to know the directors, their ambitions, what the company needs, and from there develop a bespoke pension proposal for them.
Q: How much will a SSAS cost my clients?
A: That very much depends on what the client needs, and when they need it. We have a basic annual fee which covers the everyday compliance and management of the SSAS for your client, and for extra services we have a modular menu which lets clients pick and choose what they need, and keep their costs down.
Q: What kind of SSAS support can you give my clients?
A: We’re not the kind of pension provider to cut and run once we’ve set up the scheme, leaving clients to fend for themselves. We really want to help businesses to make the most of their scheme, which is why we offer ongoing support in the form of reviewing their pension, giving investment advice, accessing their funds and acting as a professional trustee.
We’re at the end of the phone whenever your clients need us.
